Mara and Brigid are turning 50 within days of each other next fall, and they want to celebrate with you! They bonded early in their friendship over their mutual love of girl detective Trixie Belden, so what better theme? Come join the fun whether you love Mara and/or Brigid, love Trixie Belden, or just love birthday parties. We'll have 1950's party food (think cocktail weenies and deviled eggs) and play good old-fashioned party games (think Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Musical Chairs). Cake, ice cream, and punch will also be served, and Trixie Belden trivia prizes will be available for the winning. Special appearance by Karen Hutt as our resident Miss Trask (if you know you know, and if you don't you should read a Trixie Belden book because they are great). All ages are welcome!

Come join us as we trek across Africa in this dinner safari. We will imagine ourselves sitting in the twilight hours watching the animals appear before us on the plains of the Serengeti. We will dine on the Tanzanian national dish Ugali with Nyama Choma, Mishkaki and Pilaui. Dishes never before attempted by these humble hosts from DUUC. We will discuss thoughtful subjects like why the Omaha Zoo has a steak restaurant just before the African animal exhibit. Join us on the wild side for safari fun.
